On July 11, 2023, the Chinese Society for Materials Research organized a scientific and technological achievement evaluation meeting for the "Continuous Large Specification Diamond Tool Low Temperature Activation Sintering Technology and Industrialization" project independently implemented by Guangdong Benlang New Materials Co., Ltd.
The evaluation meeting was presided over by Zhang Zengzhi, executive director and secretary-general of the China Society for Materials Research, Tian Yongjun, academician of the CAS Member, Mao Xinping, academician of the CAE Member, Lv Zhi, supervisor of the China Society for Materials Research, professor level senior engineer of China Nonferrous Guilin Institute of Mineral Geology Co., Ltd., and Lin Feng, director of the super hard materials and products professional committee of the China Society for Materials Research, and professor level senior engineer, as experts, attended the evaluation meeting.
At the meeting, the expert group carefully listened to the project report made by the representative of Benlang New Materials Co., Ltd., reviewed relevant technical materials, and inspected the project products. After inquiry and discussion, the expert group highly recognized the technical level and application effect of the project, and unanimously agreed that the equipment and process developed by the project have reached the international leading level, and the product performance has reached the international advanced level.
This project directly faces the problems of low production efficiency, high labor intensity, and difficulty in meeting the requirements of "large cutting volume", "high line speed", and "high stability" production lines in the traditional manufacturing route of superhard material products. It has invented a progressive continuous hot pressing sintering equipment and process suitable for the preparation of integral large specification diamond tools, as well as a construction technology for self cooling channels with porous helical teeth structure; Developed a highly active pre alloy powder and surface coated diamond abrasive preparation technology suitable for this process equipment. The product has excellent characteristics such as stable performance, high grinding efficiency, and long service life. Currently, it has entered overseas markets such as Brazil and Italy in large quantities. The successful implementation of this project has broken the traditional intermittent manufacturing mode and is an international initiative, laying a solid foundation for the intelligent manufacturing of superhard tools in China.
